I just pulled out a book on Haiku; Haiku Poetry Ancient and Modern , perhaps this is Masako’s influence – but perhaps not, I’ve been interested in haiku for a long time; like minimal music it is just about conveying a simple message without getting tied up with extras.

I always wonder how much Haiku loses it’s form in translating to English – Since it is about an image rather than rhyme it is hard to know…. Either way, I still like reading them.
