After hearing some friends podcasts and listening to many I decided to join in. As I had never done a podcast before it took some research, I wasn't taking a…
If you have never been for a drive at Sunflower time it is absolutely worth it, the fields are beautiful.
Recently there has been a viral post making it’s way around FaceBook, a sort of 7 day photography challenge. Eventually someone nominated me - the challenge is to come up…
I have just finished watching Jiro Dreams of Sushi; the movie is a documentary about Jiro, owner of the only 3 Michelin star sushi restaurant in the world, what it is about though is obsession.
It's been a long time coming but finally the decision has been made. It's back to Brisbane, after 25 years it will be quite a change - the city seems…

The last couple of weeks have been a combination of a couple of my favourite things; Japanese culture and a film festival. This time of year brings the Japanese Film Festival to Sydney. With Sydney having 40 degree days right now it is perfect.
Over the last few years I have been searching for a decent way of having my music delivered all around the house without having the hassles of CD players everywhere.

The island has been used for various ship-building and convict activities since around 1850 and there was lots of equipment in various states of rust and disrepair and interesting building. For some reason, I find aging metal has the most beautiful colours. The Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority is in the process of restoring it. In the meantime it has just been reopened, things aren’t yet fenced off so it is the perfect time to have a look.
I always try to go to things on around Sydney every month or so. Tonight I went along to the Opera House Studio to see some modern Japanese dance, not quite right, by the Strange Kinoko Dance Company.
Last week I went to see the Fabulous Mr Percival at the Vanguard in Newtown. This was a very different sort of vocal act and definitely something worth a look.
