I recently took part in my biggest, and most enjoyable, ride yet – riding the length of New Zealand with around five or six hundred others. the Tour Aoteroa, 2024 edition.
The ride was really enjoyable, everyone was very friendly and the route covers a huge variety of locations. ,. It is amaizing how much outdoor focussed New Zealand is.
In the end I didn’t quite make it. I had been trying to reach the bus company to organise a ride back to Queenstown after completion at Bluff for about 4 days. I needed to make sure I would be back in time for my flight, but I couldn’t reach them until about 20 minutes too late for the last ferry I could take!Very frustrating, I will have to go back to finish off the last 200km or so.

The following pages are a breakdown of each day, hopefully these will be useful for others looking to do the ride.. Or a future me.
