Somehow we had completely missed that the May Day long weekend was coming and there was an extra day available on the weekend – a great find to make!
A couple of friends were available so we organised for a short walk not too far away, the Somerset Trail at Mount Mee in the D’Aguilar National Park
The forrest up here is really mixed and nice to walk through.
Matt’s knowledge of the plants was really interesting. You get far more from the surrounds when you are walking with someone who knows a lot about what we are seeing.
As all walks should we finished with a bakery visit – a delicious chicken pie from the Daybora bakery. Unfortunately I was so keen to eat it I forgot to take any pictures of the pies or the location!
